the other day i left neeki out in the back yard so she can play. i was so consumed in what i was doing (yahoo pool) that it started to rain and i forgot i left her out there. by the time i remembered to bring her back to her dog house, she had a mud splash diagonally across her face, her white paws were all black, and her leash was completely drenched in mud. poor thing. she was happy as hell though.

yesterday we went out to dinner for my uncle's birthday. i sat next to my cousins AJ and Roxanne. having conversations with teenagers just crack me up. AJ was checking out some girl in the table ahead of us with a baby boy. she couldn't have been older than 17. upon admiring the baby, AJ made a comment about how lucky she was and how he wanted a baby too. OH MY GAWD! he's only a sophomore in high school! then he told me about this girl that he likes and how he's already found his soulmate. i took one look at Roxanne and we just started cracking up! what's funny is that i used to think the same way when i was his age.

i just messed up my system. i stayed up late monday night for the floetry/erykah badu concert, tuesday night playing pool at q's, wednesday night at the roots/erykah badu concert, thursday night for a birthday dinner, and now i'm stuck with a nasty cold. i know, my fault. ahhh, but it was all worth it.

you think i'd be sleeping right now but i can't. i got off the phone not to long ago with my best friend from high school. i haven't seen or spoken to joanie since her wedding 3 years ago and yet we were able to pick up right where we left off. man, i found out so much stuff - including a little secret she shared with alex (alex, call me back you fartface! i have something to ask you). my throat's all dry from talking for over 3 hours. we made plans of hanging out again since she's kinda in that marriage routine and wants to get out of the house. i miss her.

anyway, i found a new concert buddy - yay, duane! i'm glad he was able to join me for the 2 concerts. i found out we have the same taste in music, among other things. that was actually the first time i got to hang out with him one on one and it was like i had known him for a long time. i guess i'm just comfortable around him. he's cool people. i could see myself inviting him over to family parties.

valentine's day shmalentine's day. bite me. i wish the day never existed. jorell and i will be going shopping. what are you doing?

nothing annoys me more than credit - especially when they condescendingly talk to you like they know everything, always want to prove you wrong, and try to take "credit" for everything you know by claiming they knew it first. good gawd. does it really make them feel that much better? get over it. there are more important things in life to bitch about. and if you have to bitch, then bitch and DO something about it.
