i hate miyagi's... and my stupid cousin regnier for making us go there. our other cousin joe from chicago is down for a couple of weeks and we were supposed to hang out with him last night because we've never met the guy (yeah, our family's just that damn huge). coming from la mirada at 10pm for our little cousins' dance competition, regnier suggests we meet up with them at miyagi's failing to mention that joe was not even with him and "them" meaning "his friends". argrrrrgrrrrrrrrggr... i hate miyagi's. not only did we have to get some food first, drop off the other 2 cousins with us, drive through minor traffic to get to miyagi's, and find a damn parking spot, but we also had to wait in line for at least 1/2 an hour. by the time we got in it was close to 12:30. i was sooooo not wanting to be there. and to add to all the frustration, i get nothing but endless tormenting from regnier (he likes to do that to me cuz he knows i bite back). that stupid ho... #1: regnier simply looks like an idiot with blonde hair, #2: it smells in miyagi's and it wreaks of funk, #3: never, ever, ever will i listen to him again.
the only consolation i got that evening was meeting regnier's friend tolu, aka the-big-samoan-guy. he's a producer for locals groups in long beach. and oh yeah, we bumped into mr. theodore shu!!!! (hahahaaha!) who reminded me once more that "you live with your decisions". i thought that was the stupidest phrase i had ever heard in my entire life especially coming from him, but he totally makes sense.
speaking of phrases, my pastor mentioned in her sermon today that "faith without action is dead". yeah, sounds stupid too but it hit me in a positive way in terms of pursuing what makes me happy. a couple of my friends told me that they're proud of me because most people don't follow out their dreams, that they simply "dream" and not take any action. what's the point of that? why not do something and take one baby step closer instead of always talking endless shit of what they really wanna do. no one's stopping them. ugh! another pet peeve of mine.
